What We Can Do for You
We Help Plan Your Flooring Project
Our first job is listening to your desires and exact specifications. Once we know your vision and visit your site, we can bring the floors you want to life.
We will discuss your options and show you samples. You’ll choose the exact look, wood, stain and finish.
The wood floors are the heart of a New Orleans building. We will make yours durable and beautiful.
We Install New Hardwood Floors
From small shotguns to the Cabildo and House of Blues, we have done tens of thousands of NOLA floors.
Choose from a wide variety of woods—pine, oak, pine, cherry, maple, bamboo and more. We also source antique salvage boards to match the era of a home or bring in a special look.
Heart of Pine is king. Antique heart pine (longleaf pine) is the classic and most historical choice for New Orleans homes. It's dense, rich in color, and was the standard material in late 19th/early 20th century.
We Sand & Refinish Wood Floors
Many renovation projects in New Orleans reclaim original pine boards rather than replacing them entirely. If you don’t need to replace, refinish and save money!
Our stains and finishes are durable, safe & easy to maintain. We can help you choose your finish for gloss, beauty, shine, light reflection & warmth.
We offer a state-of-the art dust containment system for dust-free sanding. Our 5-year warranty is the best in the business.
We Repair Damaged Wood Floors
No job is too big or too small. From a few boards of rotted wood to major jobs like flood recovery, we fix your floors with great care.
First, we make sure the damage is not from an ongoing source. Then, we make sure your subfloor and beams are strong.
Next, we remove the damaged boards carefully, preserving all the good wood. We match your original wood with new boards similar in material, color, width and hardness. We find the exact wood to seamlessly integrate repairs.
We Source Specialty Woods
We offer affordable, fast sourcing with lumber and flooring. A passion of ours is reclaiming antique salvaged wood boards and preserving them for installation where they can be loved again.
We’ll order specialty woods for your design. From Brazilian Cherry to walnut to maple to cumaru —our founder, Ed Young, is an encyclopedia of the wood available on the US market.
