About Us

In 1974, Edward Young started Floorcrafters with a vision, a van and a sander. His love for the historic, unique architecture of the city led him to learn all there was to know about flooring, old and new. The family business quickly grew under his vision. Floorcrafters occupied its first building at 4036 Canal Street, at the intersection of Carrollton and Canal. In 1997 Floorcrafters moved across the street to 4715 S. Carrollton Avenue. The distinctively painted Floorcrafter's vans can be seen all over New Orleans, from the River to the Lake. Edward Young continues to operate Floorcrafters with his family, work crews, and a dedicated staff.
